Stefano is a co-founder and Managing Director of BDI and has specialized in corporate restructuring mandates for 15 years.  Stefano provides practical advice, thoughtful analysis, and highly responsive support to financial institutions, lending syndicates, business owners, private investors, corporate boards, senior management, and legal counsel.

Stefano’s casework includes advisory and restructuring assignments across various industries including real estate, construction and engineering services, manufacturing, automotive, renewable energy, mining, technology, medical services, retail and distribution, hospitality, commercial printing, and forest products. 

Stefano’s turnaround solutions have involved operational changes, evaluation of strategic plans and cash flow projections, divestitures of assets and business units, negotiations with stakeholders, and informal workouts. Stefano has acted in numerous matters before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Court of King's Bench of Alberta as receiver, sales officer, proposal trustee, CCAA monitor, and trustee in bankruptcy.

Stefano has been a speaker on industry panels and national webinar presentations. Stefano is the longstanding Co-Chair of a CAIRP professional development committee responsible for an annual industry conference in Toronto.  Stefano also supported a special committee in the complete re-write of the CAIRP’s Standards of Professional Practice.
